Barclays Premier League Match-Day 22: Review

As Premier league resumes, Match day 22 was a bit of disappointment for most of the title contenders

Manchester City vs Tottenham

Manchester City 2-2 Tottenham

Tottenham’s six game winning streak came to an end with the visit to Ethiad stadium. The match drew at 2-2 , Manchester City scoring the first two goals. All the four goals came in the second half.

Leroy Sane scoring his first Premier league goal for the club. Followed by a goal by De Brune in the 54th minutes.

It only took Spurs  4 minutes to get back in the game, as the inform Dele Alli scored a header. ln the 77th minute Son Equalised for Spurs.

Tottenham’s are now 3rd,  one point short of Arsenal, while City are in 5th.

Chelsea vs Hull City

Chelsea 2-0 Hull City

Diego Costa was back in the team and was back in his goal scoring form. Chelsea scored their first goal in the 7th minute of added time. Ryan Mason suffered from a skull fracture in the early stages of the first half.

Chelsea were completely dominant in the first half. In the 81st minute Gary Cahill scored to ensure that the premium league leaders extend their lead to 8 points.

Chelsea are on top of the premier league with 55 points, eight points above Arsenal. While,  Hull City are in the relegation battle with just 16 points from 22 games.

Liverpool vs Swansea City

Liverpool 2-3 Swansea City

Kloop and his team were left disheartened after losing to Swansea. Swansea city striker Llorente scoring 2 goals in the gap of 4 minutes.

Liverpool came back stronger as the Brazilian international Firmino scored both the goals in 55th and 69th minute.

Liverpool were looking dominating but it was Swansea who sealed the show. Gylfi  Sigurdsson scored in the 74th minute giving Swansea the lead.

Liverpool are not placed 4th in the league table 10 points below Chelsea. While, Swansea are now out of relegation zone with 18 points in hand. This game shook both the sides of the table.
