Premier League leader Chelsea suffered a 3-0 loss to their old rivals Arsenal in September. This was their heaviest defeat against arsenal since April 1997.

They were unbeaten in their last nine Premier League games Against Arsenal, winning six of them (W6, D3)

Chelsea are at top of the league with 56 points, and with a 9 point gap Between them and their London rivals Tottenham . They would be seeking for revenge after the 3-0 loss at Emirates. It was this loss that led to the Chelsea’s unbeaten record.

Chelsea played their last  league match against Merseyside Liverpool which turned out to be a draw 1-1. If Chelsea beat Arsenal they will be 12 points clear at the top as Tottenham play later in the evening .

 

Arsenal

Title contenders Arsenal are placed 3rd in the league table. With the same points as Tottenham(47) they lose on the goal difference. Arsenal completely dominated Chelsea at the 3-0 win at Emirates stadium in September, as Muset Ozil scored the third goal to ensure their win.

Arsenal lost a 2-1 crashing defeat against Watford as they failed to provide in front of their home fans. Now they visit Stamford Bridge in hope of what they did in the reverse fixture.

Arsenal would go 3 points clears of Tottenham and 6 points behind the league leaders if they managed to beat them in front of their home fans.
